At which age did you start creating art? And why do you feel compelled to create?
both my parents are artists, so i've been drawing ever since i can remember. i feel compelled to create as a means to work through things, just to better understand myself and to learn about myself.
What are you inspired by? And who do you look up to?
i'm inspired by everything at one point or another. i look up to all of my friends who are all musicians and artists and magicians
Which influential artist would you like to ask for advice?
there is no influential artist that i would like to ask advice from. i dont take anybody that seriously.
If you had to put up one piece of artwork on your wall and stare at it for a year, who would it be by and why?
i would put up something my friend had drawn for me because it would make me happy

Tell us about your creative process.
i usually just sit down in bed and it comes out as it comes out. i rarely ever plan or make sketches.
Do you ever find weird connections between life and art?
i'm not really sure how to answer this question. who doesnt? life is art.
As an artist, are you Technical or passionate?
i would say i'm more on the technical side. i love fine lines and tiny details.
How do you determine when a work is finished? Or is it ever finished?
some things are never done. i can usually see something when it is finished however, i wont stop working until the image in my mind is what is on the paper.

Do you think there are boundaries you would never cross in your art making?
i may never take a naked self portrait of myself, its too embarrassing. but never say never!
What frightens you most about your art?
that it probably sucks and looks like everybody else's.
Do you have any magic cures for creative blocks?
no, none. when i dont feel like drawing, i dont. its that simple. it comes and goes. it gets scary sometimes.
Do you dream about your artwork?
when i was working with really big pieces of paper, i often used to have dreams people were destroying my art work. i think i was stressed that i was doing huge amounts of work for nothing. but thats really about it.
Which of your own works are you most proud of/ is most meaningful to you and why?
i still love the drawing of the dead coyote with the rainbow crystal skull above his head. i love it because i feel like what i wanted to say is all in that drawing.

Which art mediums and brands do you prefer to use?
i use micron pens as a religion. and crayola coloured pencil, and whatever watercolour i have lying around. and tichonderoga pencils.
What kind of art education do you have? Do you think it is important?
i took art classes in high school, thats about it. its not really that important, i have met some very well educated people as far as art goes, and i just dont think it makes a difference. you can be a great artist without any particular education.
What kind of career do you ultimately want? And what kind of career do you think you'll end up having (or already have) realistically?
i would just like to ride horses all day and be around animals and people i love, so whatever allows me to do that!
Is your family supportive of your art? Who influenced and nurtured your creativity most?
my family wishes i could be a doctor. we never talk about art.
Which direction do you see your art heading in the future?
i have no idea. i am changing every day.
Who are some of your heroes outside of the visual art stream?
all of my friends!!! especially keeley and nelson of the old believers (best band ever) and danielle and company from eskimo and sons (second best band ever)
